In this webinar, we will discuss Chapter 7 and 13 timelines, the First Meeting of Creditors, the ability to discharge debts, lien avoidance, treatment of mortgages in Chapter 13 plans, reaffirmation agreements, automatic stay issues and abusive multiple filers. Scott Fink, our speaker, will examine the Bankruptcy Code and its current affect on your mortgages, as well as updating your institution on pending legislation amending the Bankruptcy Code. Presenter:

Scott D. Fink is an associate focused on bankruptcy at Weltman, Weinberg & Reis Co., L.P.A. who has represented creditors on hundreds of bankruptcies across the nation. He earned his JD from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1997 and his BA in Political Science from Miami University in 1993. A member of the Ohio State and Cuyahoga-Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Associations, Scott is licensed in Ohio. He is admitted to practice before the US District Court (Northern & Southern Districts of OH) and has successfully argued before the US Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Scott was recently named an Ohio Rising Star by Ohio Super Lawyer Magazine for 2010, and is a frequent lecturer on bankruptcy law and creditors’ rights issues.

It is appropriate for compliance officers, loan officers, work-out officers and other employees whose responsibilities include lending and/or filing bankruptcy claims, or writing/updating policies and procedures.
