FDIC Update 2012 – A CFT Bankers’ Forum Event

PROGRAM: The FDIC’s 2012 Update will focus on community bank competitiveness and viability, particularly in light of the current and projected interest rate environment. He will also speak about current conditions in CT, relative to the broader region and nation, and touch on emerging issues surrounding consumer protection and risk management examinations.
SPEAKER: Daniel E. Frye, Area Director, FDIC. Dan has been the Area Director for the FDIC’s Division of Risk Management Supervision since July 1, 2002 and supervises the risk management examination program for the six New England states. He has frequently served in acting senior roles in the FDIC’s regional and Washington offices, most recently as Regional Director in the New York Regional Office. He has an extensive background in banking, including 20 years in bank supervision, 9 years working in various financial capacities for a NH banking company, and 6 years as an industry analyst for the FDIC’s Division of Insurance and Research.
